Cuirass / IUD Neon Sculpture, Plaster, Fibre Glass, Acrylic Initially created as a fashion piece, my self-assigned brief was to design an article of clothing. Designed to simulate the wearing of an Ancient Greek Statue/ Breast plate. After which I extended its versitility into a wall piece. In doing so, I sort to make a statement on the issue of contraceptive devices and the female body. I formed yellow neon into an IUD. The image showing it lit was taken during a recent exhibition.
