A sole trading mobile mechanic
... Sam, had left a large fleet mobile mechanic business. Being an
extremely competitive industry, I created a cheap but quite effective cold
approach to recruit new customers. Furthermore, I branded Sam's stationery
with 2 differing copy lines. 1. SAM ...your mobile mechanic, 2. SAM
... Servicing Anything Mechanical.
Living in an exclusive area of Sydney, where many residents owned expensive
European cars sparked an idea. Two similar business cards were printed each
with its own use. On the blank card, any one of a variety of 1:87 scale
European cars would be coloured accordingly to suit the targeted customers
own car. This custom card then left under the proposed client's windscreen
wiper or in their letter box. This playing directly on the owners love of
their car. The cute factor.
As an added extension to the idea, a magnetic strip was glued to the rear
of the business card converting it into a fridge magnet. |
