The Brazilian Consulate General in Sydney, renewed an invitation to me to assist in organisating a stand at The Melbourne Tourism and Travel Fair October, 2002. This was after having already worked on a Sydney stand in March 2002. (Please refer to the Competition, Invitation and Fun section of this website). This Melbourne fair offered the consulate a greater professional public face and platform from which to promote Brazil as a vibrant and viable tourist destination.     " ...We deeply appreciate your contribution to the design and presentation of the stand. We have considered it to be highly professional. The quality of your work was beyond our expectation...." (March 2002) Working alongside the Consulate team, I consulted and advised on appropriate stand selection, floor plan and setup. The centre peice from the previous Sydney Fair ­ a large foam-core map highlighting visual representations from each region of the country ­ was overlaid with an outlined Australian map giving a sense of reference and comparison. My initial stylised and graphical representations of sweeping flags were again used to add to the overall atmosphere. .     Uniform visual presented to the client. The design was accepted however due to budget constraints, it was not followed through.
