John Fairfax Publishers moved into the Qld market in 1993 to explore the new era of complete computer pagination. It was Australia's, indeed the southern hemisphere's first newspaper produced in this manner. Starting as operations designer/ cartoonist, being responsible for creating all new printed material ie. promotional brochures, stationery, car branding, signage, et cetera. I was then promoted to Art Director/Art Room Manager. My brief was to create a magazine/lifestyle type newspaper.
