Whilst travelling through Ubud in Bali during 1994, I asked a person where they had purchased the t-shirt they were wearing. It was a beautiful handpainted piece. I was told expat-Jason Monet made them. He's a resident artist living in the painting mecca of Bali. I met, interviewed and photographed Jason along with a few of his pieces from his studio. An interesting point to him was his family connection to the centuries old legend Claude Monet. The resulting story remains unpublished. Email inquiries welcomed.
